You can listen to Borders Talking Newspapers in a variety of ways:
We send out recordings on USB memory sticks which can be played on a computer or other listening device. If you do not have access to a computer or a listening device, please contact us (we can provide listening devices for people living in the Borders area).
You can download an App for your tablet or phone. On the App Store or Google Play, search for ‘Talking Newspaper’ (make sure that it’s by British Wireless for the Blind Fund) . After agreeing to the conditions, select Scotland, then Borders Talking Newspaper to start playing the newspaper: you can pause, and skip backwards and forwards through the various tracks using the controls on screen. Be aware that the app uses data, and you should consider connecting to WiFi where possible.
The recordings are available on British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF). You can access this week’s news here.
The Talking Newspaper is also available on Alexa. You can find more about how to use Alexa to access the Talking newpaper here.
